Update on HRK application information
***Reminder and Notification of new info***
Latest Service Bulletins:
Nissan – NPSB/25-900
Infiniti – IPSB/25-669
Whenever possible, use the HRK harness repair components to repair a harness instead of replacing the entire harness.
As a reminder from bulletin WBI/22-014a, to ensure wire harness claims are processed efficiently it is required that the dealer fill out the Harness Repair Form located in ASIST and follow the process outlined in NTB14-032d. The Harness Repair Form is required for all wire harness claims regardless of DCAL. Wire harness replacement for warranty claims are reviewed to determine the feasibility of a repair versus replacement.
How to find Connector Service Part Numbers?
The original VCAT HRK Portal has sunset, however applicable HRK kit part numbers are now listed in EPC under each applicable harness.
Note: Camera Harnesses are not repairable, the wire harness will need to be replaced.
Example of HRK in EPC:
The example below shows how HRK part numbers are listed under the applicable harness. The HRK parts are identified by the connector icon next to the part number. The part description leads with “HRK” then follows with:
- Connection name
- Connector family, from eWD
- Connector color
- Description of HRK component: Crimped Terminal Wires, Connector body & Crimped Terminals, Assembled SRS connector with Pigtail, etc.
Images of the connectors will be added by the end of June 2026 as well as a library of specific tools and repair procedures.
Connector applications are increasing weekly.
